They were the first to use the internet for promoting and
marketing any independent bands and artists who were not
signed. I remember back in '95 Billboard had a slightly
skeptical article on them early in the year, but 6 months
later was sounding their praises as they were the ones who
convinced the big guys that the internet was going to be an
essential tool for any record label big or small.
